Ingredients of Chicken Biryani
1 cup boiled basmati rice
1/2 teaspoon mint leaves
salt as required
2 tablespoon refined oil
3 green cardamom
2 clove
2 onion
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 cup hung curd
2 tablespoon coriander leaves
water as required
1 tablespoon ghee
600 gm chicken
1 tablespoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon saffron
1 tablespoon bay leaf
1 black cardamom
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 green chillies
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 tablespoon ginger
2 drops kewra
1 tablespoon rose water
How to Prepare Chicken Biryani
Step 1 : Prepare Saffron Kewra Water and Chop Vegetables .To prepare a delicious chicken biryani dish, first soak saffron in water to make saffron water (a teaspoon of saffron can be dissolved in 1/4 glass of water be submerged). Then mix the Kewra Drops in water and mix well to get Kewra Water. Set them aside for later use. Now chop the onion and coriander leaves and set aside.
Step 2 : Sauté Onion
Meanwhile, heat the refined oil in a deep pan.Once the oil is hot enough, add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, and cloves and sauté for about a minute. Then add the chopped onion and sauté until brown. Now add the chicken along with the chopped green chillies, turmeric, salt to taste, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder and green chili paste. Mix all spices well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add the quark suspension and mix.(Ensure the chicken is well washed and dried before adding to the dish.)
Step 3 : Cook the biryani over low heat for 5-6 minutes.
Reduce heat back to medium-high and add garam masala with sliced ginger, cilantro, and mint leaves. Add kewra water, rose water and saffron water. Cook until the chicken is tender. Then add 1 cup of cooked rice and spread evenly. Then add the saffron water and pour over the ghee.Now you can cook the dish without a lid or cover it with a lid to create a twilight effect due to the formation of steam.
Step 4 : Serve the chicken biryani hot with your favorite chutney or raita. Cook for 15-20 minutes with the lid closed and garnish with 1 tablespoon fried onions and coriander leaves. Serve the chicken biryani hot with your choice of raita. Enjoy!
